Terms of Use
Last updated: 30 October 2026
Applies to: xΛTrader, its pages and its accounts
In short. xΛTrader is software for researching and testing trading ideas: market data and charts, a strategy builder, backtests, walk-forward tests and simulated live runs. It gives no advice, places no orders and holds no money or crypto-assets. Keep your account to yourself and use it lawfully. What you build stays yours; what you post on Social is public. Until its public launch, xΛTrader is open only to the people we invite to test it.
1. Who we are
xΛTrader (the "Service") is run by MwSoftware Private Limited ("MwSoftware", "we", "us"), a company limited by shares incorporated in India under the Companies Act, 2013 (CIN: U62010RJ2026PTC118037), with its registered office at PNO. 37, KNO. 425, Godara Colony, Banar, Jodhpur - 342027, Rajasthan, India.
These Terms are an agreement between you and us. You accept them when you create an account and when you use the Service; if you do not agree, do not use it. The Privacy Notice, the Payments & Refunds policy, the Risk Disclosure & No Advice, the Community Rules, the Cookie Policy and the Grievance Redressal page form part of them, and so do the Classroom Terms when you use a classroom.
2. What xΛTrader is
- market data, charts, indicators, market movers and watch lists for the markets it is connected to;
- a visual builder for rule-based strategies, and indicators you define;
- backtests over stored price history, and walk-forward tests;
- live runs, in which a strategy's rules are applied to live prices and every order is simulated, against a practice credit that has no cash value;
- price alerts and notifications;
- a portfolio page, where you record holdings yourself or, if you choose, read your balances from an exchange account (section 8);
- Social, where users publish ideas and setups that anyone can read;
- Learn, with guides to the Service;
- classrooms, in which an institute's instructors share strategies with their students.
xΛTrader does not place orders with any broker or exchange, route orders for anyone, hold or move money or crypto-assets, or give investment advice. See the Risk Disclosure & No Advice.
3. Before the public launch
Until its public launch, xΛTrader runs on our own servers for testing and is open only to the people we invite. During this time features may change, appear or be withdrawn without notice, the Service may be unavailable, and the data in it may have to be reset; when we can, we tell testers before a reset. Please do not rely on it for anything that matters to you.
4. Your account
- You must be 18 or older and able to make a binding contract.
- Use a real e-mail address that you control: it is how we reach you and how your password is reset.
- An account is for one person. Do not share it, sell it, or let anyone else use it.
- Keep your password secret. You are responsible for what is done with your account; write to [email protected] at once if you think someone else has used it.
- The details you add to your profile are optional, and must be your own.
To close your account, write to us from its e-mail address. What then happens to your data is set out in the Privacy Notice.
5. Plans and limits
xΛTrader has a free plan and paid plans. Every plan has limits, for example on alerts, watch lists, backtests, walk-forward tests and live runs; your plan and its limits are shown in xΛTrader. Paid plans are governed by the Payments & Refunds policy.
Paid plans are not on sale yet. Until they are, nothing can be bought and no one can be charged. While xΛTrader is being tested we may give an account a plan's features free of charge, for as long as we decide.
We may change what a plan includes. A change that takes something away from a paid plan does not apply to a period already paid for.
6. Using xΛTrader properly
You agree not to:
- use the Service for anything unlawful, including manipulating a market, spreading false information to move a price, or trading on unpublished price-sensitive information;
- use Social to give investment advice or research for a fee, to ask anyone for money or deposits, to promote a scheme, or to pose as someone else;
- post another person's personal data, threats or harassment, malicious links, or anything that infringes someone's rights;
- try to reach another person's account or data, or systems or data you have not been given; or probe, scan or test the Service's security, or get around its protections or its plan limits, without our written permission (to report a weakness, see section 15);
- overload or disrupt the Service, or use robots, scrapers or other automated tools on it instead of its own pages as a person uses them;
- copy, decompile or reverse-engineer xΛTrader, or use it to build a competing product;
- download market data in bulk to pass on or sell;
- pass a strategy you were given in a classroom to anyone outside that classroom.
The Community Rules say more about what may and may not be posted. If you break these Terms or those rules, we may remove content, limit or suspend your account, or close it, depending on how serious it is. Where we can, we tell you why first.
7. Your content
The strategies, indicators, notes, posts and other things you create in xΛTrader remain yours. You give us the permission we need to store them, to run them (for example to backtest or live-run your strategies), and to show them where you choose: your Social posts to anyone who opens Social, including people who are not signed in, and what an instructor shares to the members of that classroom. The permission ends when the content is deleted, except for copies already given to others in a classroom and for what the law requires us to keep.
You are responsible for what you post. We do not check content before it is published, and we may remove content that breaks these Terms, the Community Rules or the law. How strategies are shared, copied and withdrawn in a classroom is set out in the Classroom Terms.
8. Exchange connections
You may connect an exchange account by giving xΛTrader an API key for it. We use the key only to read your balances into your portfolio page: when you ask, and automatically at most three times a day. We never use it to place an order, or to withdraw or transfer anything. Please create the key with read-only permission and leave every other permission off: permissions are set at the exchange, not by us. The key is stored encrypted (see the Privacy Notice), and you can remove the connection at any time. The exchange's own terms apply to your account there.
9. No advice; results are hypothetical
Nothing in xΛTrader is investment, financial, tax or legal advice or a recommendation. Backtests, walk-forward tests and simulated runs are calculations under assumptions; they do not predict results. Social posts are their authors' own views, not ours. See the Risk Disclosure & No Advice.
10. Market data
Market data comes from third parties, such as exchanges' public data services. It can be late, incomplete, wrong or interrupted, and we do not guarantee it.
11. Intellectual property
xΛTrader's software, its rule language and design, its text, graphics and logos, and the names MwSoftware and xΛTrader belong to MwSoftware Private Limited or its licensors. Subject to these Terms you may use the Service for your own research, learning and teaching. Names of exchanges and other companies belong to their owners; their use here does not mean they endorse us or are connected with us.
12. Availability and changes to the Service
We aim to keep xΛTrader available, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, free of errors or available at any given time, and we may stop it for maintenance or security. We may change, add or withdraw features. If we close the Service, we tell account holders at least 30 days before and refund any paid period not yet used.
13. Liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any trading or investment loss, for loss of profit, data or opportunity, or for any indirect loss; and our total liability to you for anything else arising from the Service is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits a liability that Indian law does not allow to be limited, or your rights as a consumer.
14. Indemnity
If a claim is made against us because you broke these Terms or the law, or because of content you posted, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs arising from that claim.
15. Reporting a security weakness
If you find a security weakness in xΛTrader, please tell us at [email protected]. While looking, please do not access data that is not yours, change or delete anything, or disrupt the Service. We will not pursue anyone who reports a weakness to us in good faith and in this way.
16. Events beyond our control
We are not responsible for a failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as power or network failures, an exchange's or a data provider's outage, natural events or government action. We do what we reasonably can to limit the effect and to tell users.
17. Grievances and disputes
If you have a complaint about the Service, write to our Grievance Officer at [email protected]. We acknowledge within 48 hours and aim to resolve within 30 days. The Grievance Redressal page says what to include and where you can go if you are not satisfied with our answer.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. If a dispute is not settled through the grievance process within 30 days, either side may refer it to arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, before a sole arbitrator appointed by agreement or, failing agreement, as that Act provides. The seat of arbitration is Jodhpur, Rajasthan, and it is conducted in English. Subject to this, the courts at Jodhpur have exclusive jurisdiction. Nothing in this section takes away a right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
18. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The date at the top shows the current version. We tell account holders of a significant change before it applies, by e-mail or in xΛTrader; if you go on using the Service after that, the new Terms apply. If you do not accept them, you may close your account.
